Essay

Spin and polarization effects in the processes of magneto-bremsstrahlung and photoproduction of an e-e+ -pair in a magnetic field are studied theoretically. Probability of the spin-flip radiation process increases when a high energy photon is radiated. Particles created in the photoproduction process are completely polarized if the initial photon has parallel polarization. Affect of spin and polarization effects on cyclotron lines intensity of an X-ray pulsar is studied. The intensity increases twice when particles of a magnetosphere occupy low energy levels, but the intensity decreases when the particles are strongly exited. The process of production of an electron-positron pair by an electron in a magnetic field near the process threshold is theoretically investigated. The process is more probable when the initial electron has spin projection +1/2.
