The objects are soil algae groups of Krivbas dumps. The aim is to find out the ecological features of the soil algae groups forming on the dumps made by iron-ore mining. The methods are biogeocenological, soil-algological, floral, physical, chemical, statistical. Structure peculiarities of soil algae groups of steppe and forest biogeocenosis formed in the iron-ore industry dumps are distinguished by comparison analysis. Succession changes of algae groups by self-growing of iron-ore dumps and tailings are described. Peculiarities of algae groups of Krivorizhye with and without taking recultivation measures are revealed. Season dynamics of algae groups of iron-ore dumps and tailings of Krivorizhye and boarding ecosystems is determined, received indexes of numbers, biomass of soil algae are obtained. Procedure of estimation of ecotop moistening in composition of algae life forms and their activity in algae groups is offered and approbated. A number of diagnostical features of algae groups in relation to such parameters of technogenic edaphotops as the mechanical composition, humus contain, index pH are identified. Scale of algae species in relation to general fertility of edaphotop is built. Application spheres are diagnosis ecological condition and training courses.
