The research object is the process of formation and development of structural segments of the industrial complex of the region in terms of openness of the regional economic system. Purpose - study of theoretical and methodological principles of forming and development of the industrial complex of the region, development of practical recommendations to improve its structure and its impact on accelerating economic growth of regional economy. For the topic and achieve the goal of the research was used the following methods: a method of system analysis, analysis, synthesis, statistical analysis, the method of cluster analysis, cartographic, graphical method and others. Expressed in the thesis research results aimed at optimizing the functioning of the industrial complex area, and ensure its proportional and balanced development.
