Essay

The results of building of a unified model for alpha -decay and alpha - capture are presented in the work. The application of this model to systematic analysis of alpha - transitions between the ground states of nuclei, from the ground state of the parent nucleus into the various excited states of the daughter nucleus is presented. Results of development of simple empirical relationships to calculation of the alpha - transition periods between the ground states of nuclei are presented. The practical applications of the proposed models are shown.
