Essay

The thesis covers the solution of a scientific-technical problem of increasing durability of high-speed friction units in printing rotation machinery by means of applying new technologies of producing bearings based on copper and nickel. This technology is founded on obtaining purposeful resources which ensure controllabil-ity of service properties of high-speed rotating friction units. The work results in ascertainment of the rules concerning how technological characteristics of sliding bearings production can impact the mechanism of antifriction properties formation during high-speed friction process. The volumetric characteristics of the bearings define their high functional capabilities and can be obtained by varying the processing characteristics of the production of components. It was also discovered that there are some rules for tribosynthesis of antifrictional films to occur at high-speed friction of the bearings based on nickel and copper with solid lubricant adding. Another rule concerns high functional capabilities of high-speed bearings in printing machinery, what increase durability in 5-12 times and annual efficiency in 1,4-1,6 mln. sheets.
