Martsenyuk I. Genus Allium L. (Alliaceae) in North Prichornomorya of Ukraine (biological, ecological, biochemical features and introduction)

The thesis presents the results of researches of biological peculiarities of the Allium species in the North Prichornomor'ya of Ukraine. The critical survey of the literature data on the history of biomorpology, ecology, biochemical, introduction and distribution of the Allium species have been carried out. It is set up population-species variety onions the flora of the North Prichornomor'ya of Ukraine. First in the conditions of North Prichornomor'ya of Ukraine have been take facts about widening of eleven Allium species and ecology conditions of its habitats. The ecological optimum indicators of these species have been disclosed. Researched phytochemical features of wild-growing species of the genus Allium and contents biological compounds in the culture-growing onions. Questions of reproduction biology of the species have been studied. The methods of the generative reproduction have been carried out and their optimal periods have been determined. On the base of the results of the introduction experiment, the most perspective species have been selected.
