The object is the self-heated gas-discharge hollow high-emission cathodes (SGHHC) of electricpropulsion. The aim is optimization of operation processes parameters at start of gas-discharge self-heated hollow high-emission cathodes of electricpropulsion for making of cpnditions, necessary for the increase of their resource by startup numbers. The methods are regressive analysis, multivariable analysis and numeral methods of solution of ordinary and nonlinear differential equalizations. The novelty consists in developing oа the mathematic model of glow discharge development at start of (SGHHC) which takes into account electrical feed circuit equation, equalizations of additional ionization velocity in the auxiliary discharge, pressure distribution along the discharge gap axis, that allow to optimize the time of development and current density of the main glow-discharge from the parameters of auxiliary discharge and the electrical feed circuit. Тhe new technical decision about the gas-intake line with additional receiver and throttle, entered before in SGHHC on the basis of the got scientific results was scientifically grounded and investigated, which allows to decrease the time of gas flow stabilization at SGHHC start and optimize the addition throttle diameter, volume of additional receiver and pressure in gas-intake line by the time. The results are the minimization of time of maximal current density forming, minimization of time of the gas mass flow stabilization. The branch is propulsion engineering.
