Essay

The dissertation is devoted to study of subalkaline mafic dike swarm in the eastern part of the Volhynia Megablock of Ukrainian Shield. It is ascertained the origin and formation conditions of the studied dykes, as well as is developed criteria for their geological subdivision and correlation with other magmatic complexes of the region. Three age groups of subalkaline mafic dikes that fundamentally differ in their geological position, age of intrusion, magmatic association belonging, mineralogical, petrographical and geochemical characteristics are distinguished in the eastern part of the Volhynia Megablock for the first time.
