Prokhorova M. Methodological problems of region Recreation Complex functioning

The subject of investigation is the processes of functioning of the recreation complexes of the region in the context of the market transformation. The purpose of investigation is the scientific justification of the practical recommendations, directed to the increase of effectiveness of functioning of the regional recreation complexes as well as researches of the impact of the above-mentioned complexes operation on the social economic development of the region and the state in general. The methods of research are economic and statistic analysis, induction, generalization, method of economic comparison, spatial-temporal modeling, financial and economic analysis. The practical importance of the obtained results consists in the development of the directions of improvement of public regulation of the recreation sphere at the sectoral and regional level. The scientific novelty of obtained results is that first the view on the essence of definition "recreation complex" has been justified; the spatial-temporal model of perspective placement of recreation complexes within the urbanized territory of the region has been developed. The directions of the development of the recreation complexes of the region that are realized on the terms of the observance of the balance of the regional interests, state and recreation complex have been improved. The approach to the definition of the main directions of the development of the recreation complexes of Ukraine; the recommendations for planning the activity of recreation complexes of Ukraine and Kharkov region in view of the variety of reasons of development retardation; the conceptual approach to the analysis of the activity results of the recreation complexes of Kharkov region; the estimation of the overall result of the recreation complexes activity which is defined as the index of the level of development and is reflected with the activity of the regional enterprises, connected with the recreation sector, have been further developed.
