Mohammed K. Diagnostics and surgical treatment of liquorodynamic's disorders, caused by Chiari anomaly

The dissertation is devoted to questions of diagnostics and surgical treatment improvement at liquorodynamic's disorders, caused by Chiari anomaly. Clinical signs and disease flow features were studied, diagnostic possibilities of modern additional research methods were analyzed and also - surgical treatment techniques and results oat 120 patients with Chiari anomaly that was accompanied by liquorodynamic's disorders on cranio-vertebral level and more often - by syryngomyelia. 59 patients in 2006-2009 were treated, using method of bone and pia mater and inner decompression of cranio-vertebral level, proposed by author; at 61 patients in 2000-2005 different types of operation were performed: syryngo-subarachnoid shunting, syryngomyelitic cyst's catchment, etc.The tactics of existent surgical interventions' choice was revised and changed; new surgical method for patients' with Chiari anomaly and related syryngomyelia treatment was introduced into clinical practice.Results, obtained in this research, allow to promote efficiency and outline the ways of diagnostics and surgical treatment further improvement at liquorodynamic's disorders, caused by Chiari anomaly.Main results of the dissertation are provided in neurosurgical practice.
