This thesis is devoted to the study of kinetics and mechanism of high-temperature oxidation of silver in air as well as adsorption of oxygen on silver and electrochemical oxidation in 3% NaCl solution (the marine water) of some industrial silver-based electric-contact alloys, which have already found the application under conditions of marine tropic climate.
