Levandovska S. Sorts of Callistephus chinensis (L.) Nees: morphology, development biology and cultivating in landscape objects of Western Podillya

There has been investigated the morphology, phenology, biology of C. chinensis sorts development, their seed productivity, cultivation and resistance under Western Podillia conditions. The history of introduction and selection of the sort in Ukraine and in the world has been describet. The morphological classification of C. chinensis sorts is suggested and their classification is given. We have defined three levels of their main morphological features changeability (inflorescence diameter, bush height, number of first level sucskers) in the research area. There has been defined peculiarities of seasonal development of C. chinensis sorts, terms and duration of their main phonological phases. There has been investigated seedling and non-seedling growing ways, sowing quality and seed productivity of C. chinensis sorts under under Western Podillia conditions. Fusario pathogene resistance of the sorts has been studied. Complex estimation of 94 C. chinensis sorts was done on the basis of their decorative, biological, ecological and farming peculiarities, which resulted in defining 52 the most promise ones for implementing info landscape objects of the research ared. There has been developed directions and principles of applying the sorts in landscape-gardening. The project of different types of flower decorations using sorts are presented.
