Bilyk Y. Ottoman defense works on the Kerch Peninsula (the 17th-18th cc.)

The thesis analyzes military history of the Kerch Peninsula - an important region of the Ottoman Empire in the 17th-18th cc. on the basis of a wide range of sources and literature. The history of building, development and research of Ottoman defensive works situated on the Kerch peninsula are represented in the thesis in detail. Well known sources, which are in our disposal have been analyzed, and it allowed to value significance and the role of Ottoman fortresses, which were parts of Kefe beilerbelik (eyyalet), and their role in historical processes taking place in the south of Ukraine in the 17th-18th cc., objectively. New sources have been introduced into science.
