The thesis is an attempt of a complex study of foreign policy of the Slovak Republic in the context of European and Euro-Atlantic integration. The evolution of domestic and foreign policy of the Slovak Republic during 1993-2010 has been analyzed. In particular, transformation processes in the country during the premiership of Mr. Meciar in 1993-1998 as well as the factors which led to the exclusion of the country from the group of candidates for the accession to the EU and NATO in 1997 have been defined and generalized.
