Nesuh L. Urbarial Reforms of Maria Theresia in the north-eastern Slavic lands of the Hungarian Kingdom.

The dissertation is dedicated to the research of urbarial reforms in The Habsburg Monarchy. The description of social and political processes in the country, as well as the economic priorities of the Viennese Court in the course of preparing and executing of the urbarial reforms is being presented on the grounds of archival documents analyses, statistical sources and monographic literature. Special attention is assigned to the socio-economic situation of the population of Hungary, the implementation of agricultural urbarial reform within the Slavic lands of the Empire. The causes of the reform's execution have been disclosed alongside with its consequences and the influence on the ethical development of social relations in the country. The author presented the legal characteristics of the "Urbarium", its role in the legal settlement of the land exploiting, trade and feudal rent. Special emphasis has been laid on the consequences of the urbarial reform, stressing the land differentiation and transition from the law of custom to the legal status.
