Kamyanskiy V. Morphological sites of metacarpus bones and manus digits at determination of cattle age.

Dissertation is about the investigation of objective morphological site of metacarpus bones and manus digits for determination cattle age. The complex osteological technology of cattle age diagnosis, independently from bone tissue shape (native or cremated) is based on the integrative estimation of structural criteria (osteoscopical, roentgenstructural, osteometrical, spectroscopical). In this system each previous method of investigation is a base for the next, it allows to decrease age borders, and also to increase accuracy and objectivity of determination of cattle age. Automation of osteological technologies is possible with using author computer programm "Manus Vacca". Given osteological technology allows to determine cattle ages at metacarpus bones and manus digits, from the birth to 36 months - accurately ± 3 months, from 36 to 144 months - ± 2 years.
