Skol'skyi I. The peculiarities of type cultivation of sort Ulmus L. in the plantations of Western Forest-steppe of Ukraine

The objects of investigation are the artificial forest plantations with the participation of types of sort Ulmus L. in the western forest-steppe of Ukraine. The aim is to reveal forest, ecological peculiarities of fruitfulness and cultivation of planting material of elm, and to study their growth and life condition in the clean and mixed plantations and work up agro-technical principles of cultivation of biologically firm tree conditions with the participation of types of sort Ulmus L. in the plain part of the western region of Ukraine. The methods of investigation are forest-valuation, agro-sowing, electro-physiological spectrophometers of variation statistics. Scientific novelty. The ways and the directions of reproduction of biologically firm plantations with the participation of types of sort Ulmus L in the conditions of western forest-steppe of Ukraine which are provided with seeds gathering from the late forms of elms, its preparation for sowing, proper schemes of creation of forest cultures and conducting of agro-technical measures are worked up on the basis of complex forest-ecological investigations. The correlative dependences between the electro-physiological indices ( impedance and polarizable capacity) and life condition of elm trees to healthy belong, as a rule, trees with impedance less than 7,7 kOm and polarizable capacity more than 1,6 nF are set up. The introduction as to the influence of abiotic factors on increase of firmness of elm trees to Dutch disease and the influence of ways of pre-sowing seed preparation to its similarity and growth of seedlings and saplings, and also about the peculiarities of passing the phonological phases in rough and hornbeam elms are deepened. According to the received results of investigations one can calculate the optimal norm or specify the existing norm of seed sowing, use the most rational ways of pre-sowing preparation of seed and forecast the coming out of planting material from the unit of area. The usage of the developed scale of biological firmness gives the possibility to define the life condition of separate individuals in the plantations by visual method and mark the measures on increase of their biological firmness. The ways and schemes of mixing of the wood types with the participation of rough and hornbeam elms which provide high firmness and optimal participation of elms in the complement of tree conditions during the period of forest growing are worked out. According to the results of the investigations the rational types of forest cultures with the participation of types of sort Ulmus L. are worked up, where their maximum firmness to Dutch disease, intensive growth and optimal part in the complement are provided. The developed recommendations according to the cultivation of planting material and creation of forest cultures with the participation of types of sort Ulmus L. are used by the enterprises of forest economy of the region while cultivating the artificial plantations.
