Lishinskaya O. Activities of UNO in the area of women rights protection in countries of the Middle East and Maghreb (1975-1995).

The dissertation deals with activities of UNO in the area of women rights protection and encouraging promotion of this process on the national level in countries of the Middle East and Maghreb in 1975-1995. Survey of all interaction links between the organization and governments of Arabic countries on the way of reaching gender equality was carried out. Based on research of big amounts of historic sources: UNO regulatory base and its structural subdivisions, documents of state institutions, speeches of public and political figures, sources of especial origin, statistic data, political essays, etc., activities of Arabic countries of the Middle East and Maghreb on the way of solving the problem of a female Moslem status in the period researched was demonstrated.
