Essay

The research work is dedicated to the actual problem - burrowing activity of mammals in the different ecosystems of the Starosambirshchyna Lviv region, within the limits of Overhead-Dnestr Beskid, the basic types of burrowing activity of animals are researched in relation to the consequences of their vital functions in forest and meadow geobiocenosis. It is concluded that burrowing activity of Talpa europaea L. and Sus scrofa L. significantly impacts on soil processes of mountain ecosystems, as well as vegetative cover, a brief description of the summer and autumn seasons, the comparison of rooting Sus scrofa L. and Talpa europaea L., the number of their release and pore sizes in different habitats, which appeared during the period of research (2002-2010). In the research work the description of the basic system of burrows of the European mole (Talpa europaea L.) is given, and a study by the footsteps of his earth-moving activity schematically depicts the architecture of burrows. The author has given the conclusions of the dynamics of moles' emissions multitude, the structure of its burrows and shown the consequences of his life. The figures about the content of such chemical elements as rolling phosphorus, hydrolytic nitrogen, potassium, calcium, and the pH of soil emissions of the European mole (Talpa europaea L.) of different ages: one day, fresh and old projection, and soil intact (control ). It is shown that digging soil by moles creates favorable conditions for some species, and suppresses the development of others.
