Тhe meaning of the reinstatement of the Polish states within the complex of problems faced by France and Great Britain after First World War is evaluated. Role of Great Britain and France in the resolution of the Polish territorial problems at the Paris Peace Conference and after its completion are considered. French and British selective ethnic principle and the principle of self-determination of nations relate to the resolution of the Polish territorial issues are examined. Britain's diplomatic victory over France in the struggle over establishing the borders of the Second Polish Republic is explained.
