Essay

The thesis is aimed at the experimental study of heat transfer and hydrodynamics of the swirled air flow in the round tube concerning the cyclone cooling of gas turbine blades. The following three configurations were studied: with one swirl generator (swirler) and open exit; with one swirler and exit bend; with two swirlers and exit bend. The effect of the additional co-swirled round air jet supply and flow turn at the exit on heat transfer and hydraulic losses are studied. The thermal hydraulic analysis of the mentioned configurations is carried out.
