Gorelov A. The Alnus Mill. species in the Right-bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine (introduction, biological, ecological and allelopathical features)

The thesis is dedicated to the study of the biological and ecological features of genus Alnus Mill. species, forms and hybrids in conditions of Right-bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The questions of season development are interpreted in the script. The thesis covers the questions of Alnus species resistance to unfavorable environmental factors and marks their high ecological plasticity, winter and drought resistance. The peculiarities of seed and vegetative reproduction are also analyzed. The growing and carrying methods of seedlings are described. The data about alelopathical activity and contenting of phenols in Alder is shown. The agrochemical soil characteristic under Alder is studied.
