Skuba O. The Style of Scientific Thinking: Methodological, Cultural and Historical Dimensions

In the dissertation the phenomenon of the scientific thought style is examined from systemic positions as a complex, hierarchically well-organized system of non-obvious dominants, standards, principles, forms and categories of theoretical mastering of the world, which changes in time, constantly reproducing its structure. A style of thought appears in the forms of thinking, which for a certain historical stage are examined as generally accepted, those, which correspond to the spirit of the epoch and the ideal of scientific activity character. It characterizes the research approaches, general logic of scientific problems formulation and solution, generally accepted principles of scientific research. Links and differences of the style of thought with such concepts as: "scientific picture of the world", "paradigm", "research program", "type of scientific explanation" are established.
