The Object is the characteristics of the maximum flow of the spring flooding in the basin of the Severskii Donets river; the aim is the motivation and realization of the scientific-methods base at the objects of the rivers of the Severskii Donets basin for the performance prediction of the maximum flow and project planning of the spring flooding hydrographs, including: the static handling and spatial generalization of the maximum flow time-series and ball-sinks during the flow; identification and generalization of the design characteristics of the surface inflow within the study area; definition and implementation of the evaluation parameters for project planning of the spring flooding design hydrographs; the methods - statistic analysis maximum flow time-series and ball-sinks during the flow, their spatial generalization, realization of the retroactive accounting at the determination of some parameters of the calculation schemes of maximum water flow and spring flooding hydrographs; the results - one of the variants of the basis of estimate for the characteristics of the maximum vernal runoff proved, which was realized based on the materials of the investigations for the runoff of the spring flow in the Severskii Donets river basin; the novelty the author suggested the variant of the maximum flow formula of the volumetric type and also realization of it at the objects of the rivers of the Severskii Donets river's basin; scientific-methodological base was improved for project planning of the spring flooding design hydrographs at the Severskii Donets river's basin; potential maximum modules of the runoff of the spring flow in the Severskii Donets river basin; the introduction degree is planned to introduction; the branch of using - in water management and planning organizations in the calculation of the maximum runoff of rivers.
