Essay

On the base of bottom sediments distribution study bugaz's, vitiaz's, kalamit's and dzhemetian's coast line position reconstruction was made within the North-Western Black Sea shelf and presented in the thesis. Analysis of lithological composition and sediment distribution, relief features, subsurface geology, faunistic complex and bugaz's, vitiaz's, kalamit's, dzhemetian's cost line position allowed to mark out marine and continental paleofacies for mentioned time intervals and trace their changes in time and space. Novochernomorsky and Drevnechernomorsky bottom sediments thickness schemes were constructed. The schemes allowed to trace connection between sediments distribution and sea bottom relief. Sediment forming processes study allowed to establish the dominance of biogenic contribution in modern sedimentation processes. Conception of hydrodynamic conditions of bottom sediments forming was improved.
