Object of investigation - protolytic equilibria of indicator dyes of different type and charge in aqueous solutions of ionic calixarenes and cyclodextrin. Aim of investigation - to reveal the general regularities and effects governing the influence of calixarenes and cyclodextrin on protolytic equilibria of indicator dyes in aqueous solutions. Methods of investigation and apparatus - potentiometry (potentiometer), spectrophotometry (spectrophotometer) and fluorimetry (fluorimeter), method of dynamic light scattering (electrophoresis, device - Zeta-sizer), transmission electronic microscopy. Theoretical and practical results - the possibility of governing the properties of dyes through cyclodextrin and ionic calixarenes is proved. Different types of interaction in the above solutions are revealed. An approach is proposed which allows distinguishing the properties of traditional spherical micelles of cationic surfactants and micelle-like aggregates of calixarenes. Novelty - the values of parameters of dye equilibria in solutions of macrocycles are obtained, the key role of the acid-base equilibrium shift in the phenolphthalein discoloration in presence of cyclodextrin is demonstrated. The formation of aggregates of cationic calixarenes in water is proved, and their differentiating action on spectral and acid-basic properties of dyes is proved. Degree of adoption - the results are adopted in educational process. Field of application - physical chemistry of the organized systems, supramolrcular chemistry.
