Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of turbulent flows of dilute high-molecular polymer solutions, which reduce drag. The mathematical model is built. It considers the influence of physical properties of polymer on changing the turbulent diffusion mechanism and the mechanism of pulsation energy redistribution between the Reynolds stress tensor components. Numerical calculations of a turbulent boundary layer characteristics in dependence on the polymer molecular weight and concentration are carried out.
