Bordyug N. The Agroenvironmental Grounds of Measures for Outplant Drinking Water Quality Improvement.

The thesis is devoted to the study of outplant drinking-water quality on the predominant soil types of Ukraine. The condition of soils and their influence on groundwater condition were studied. The investigations of groundwater condition according to microbiological and chemical indices proved the unsatisfactory condition of outplant water. The increase of certain values of the investigated indices was detected in spring and in autumn due to the increase of precipitations quantity. Study of soils condition showed the tendency to distribution of the studied substances in soil and water, displayed in correlation of iron, manganese and nitrates content in the given environments, namely increase or reduction of these substances content results in corresponding changes of water composition. Thus, the study of quality of drinking-water from underground sources will contribute to their proper rational use and protection with the purpose of high quality drinking-water conservation.
