Hrytsku-Andriesh I. Regional Rural Tourism: Social-Economic Peculiarities and Major Trends of Development

Scientific bases for the formation of rural tourism in the region as well as practical recommendations for its efficient development and allocation are substantiated. Organizational-economic mechanisms of tourism activity are improved, methodical bases for estimation of the said activity's efficiency are deepened, and the rural tourism structure and cluster placement are developed. Quantitative and qualitative parameters, preconditions of and obstacles to the formation of rural tourism at national and regional levels are characterized. Social-economic efficiency of the use of the resources' potential is estimated as well as the same of the rural tourism implementation in the Chernivtsi Region. Problems encountered in rural areas with respect to tourism activity and the trends of said activity development are described. Based on the analysis of the region's tourism-recreation potential, ways for rural tourism development and allocation are substantiated. Rural tourism synergies with different rural economies are identified. Perspective forms of rural tourism organization and management within the region are suggested on the basis of cluster modeling and introduction of marketing strategies for its development.
