Object-activity of NO-synthase, cyclooxygenase-2, 5-lipooxygenase, oxidative processes in MMLI in experimental ulcerative colitis; aim - to evaluate the role of proinflammatory enzymes (NO-synthase, cyclooxygenase-2 and 5-lipooxygenase), oxidative processes , activity of enzymes of antioxidant defense mechanisms in the development of ulcerative colitis under conditions of the correction by amaranth oil; methods - biochemical, morphological and statistics; novelty – we noted that the simultaneous blockage of iNOS, COX-2 and 5-LOX leads to a significant cytoprotective effect. Thus, activity of iNOS decreased , nitrite anion and TBA- products content and activity of SOD and catalase decreased, the concentration of L-arginine in plasma increased. We for the first time noted that the effect of amaranth oil under conditions of blockage of iNOS or COX-2 activity in ulcerative colitis caused the increase of cytoprotective processes in MMLI and showed its antioxidant effect, accompanied by a significant inhibition of levels of iNOS activity; results – we examined the independent and simultaneous blockage of iNOS, COX- 2 and 5-LOX and change of cytoprotective processes, NO-synthase activity, nitrite anion content, lipoperoxidation processes , activity of enzymes of antioxidant protection in MMLI and the concentration of L-arginine in plasma under conditions of ulcerative colitis. We investigated the independent action of amaranth oil and under conditions of the blockage of iNOS or COX-2 on the morphological status of MMLI and the activity of NO-synthase, the content of nitrite anion, lipoperoxydation processes, the activity of antioxidant enzymes in MMLI and fatty acids and L-arginine in plasma in ulcerative colitis. We proposed the method for increasing of the cytoprotective processes in MMLI. The obtained data were introduced into the teaching and methodological processes of the department of Biochemistry and Physiology of NMU Donetsk, Department of Biochemistry National University of Pharmacy, Department of Human and Animal Physiology of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.
