Essay

The Fe-P-В, Fe-P-Мо, Fe-С-Мо, and Fe-P-В-Мо alloys have been investigated. The alloying with phosphorous and boron has been shown to increase components mutual solubility as a result of substitutional-and-interstitial solid solutions formation. The Fe-Fe, Fe-P, and Fe-B atomic bondings length of Fe3P1-хBх solid solutions has been calculated. The peculiarities in univariant binary and ternary eutectics crystallization have been established. The main mechanisms of ternary euitectics crystallization have been suggested as follows: divorced crystallization; simultaneous cooperative three-phase growth; ternary eutectics growth as binary eutectics with the third phase inclusions; and liquid separation into two binary eutectics that grow simultaneously. The properties of the following primary phases have investigated: ferrite alloyed with phosphorous and boron, Fe3(P,B), Fe2(P,B), Fe3(В,Р), Fe2(В,Р), and Fe5PB2.
