Object - the state of the immune system, the processes of lipid peroxidation, the activity of antioxidant enzymes, protein metabolism in the body of pigs at various doses of Chromium chloride. Purpose - determine the impact of oral administration of different doses of Chromium chloride on the immune status, processes of lipid peroxidation, the formation of antioxidant system (AS) and protein metabolism in pigs and on the basis of the data to substantiate and develop the optimum scheme of its application to improve the viability and resistance of piglets early age. Methods: clinical, immunologic, biochemical (spectrophotometric, electrophoretic), bioengineering, statistical. Novelty: the first time comprehensively investigated and obtained new data about the effects of oral administration of Chromium Chloride on the immune status of LPO processes and state of antioxidant system, exchange of proteins in pig early postnatal age. Results: found stimulating effect Chromium chloride on the activity systems of cellular and humoral immunity. Shown positive effects of this microelement in the number and composition of functional T- and B-lymphocytes and their subpopulations, nonspecific indicators of resistance (phagocytic activity of neutrophils, complementary activity of serum, circulating immune complexes). Introduction trivalent Chromium accompanied by weakening of the lipid peroxidation processes (decreasing the concentration of malondialdehyde and lipid hydroperoxide) and increased level of enzymatic antioxidant system (superoxide dismutase activity increased, catalase, glutathione peroxidase) in the blood of newborn animals. Oral administration pigs Chromium at a dose of 150 mg improves protein metabolism in the body, as evidenced by the content of total protein, average daily gain increased by 12%. The optimum dose of chromium for piglets early age, which corresponds to 150 mcg animal. A method of increasing resistance of newborn piglets in a production environment and given the scientific and economic justification of the use of oral administration of chloride of Сhromium in the practice of veterinary medicine to prevent diseases of young pigs. Area of use: biochemistry, swine breeding.
