Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the investigation of the crystallization behaviour of low-molecular organic substances: benzene, naphthalene, diphenyl, anthracene, resorcinol, cathechol, hydroquinone and binary mixtures in the systems benzene - naphthalene, diphenyl - naphthalene, benzene - diphenyl, resorcinol - cathechol, resorcinol - hydroquinone, cathechol - hydroquinone. The influence of the thermal prehistory of the melts on the crystallization parameters was studied with the help of the thermoanalysis technique. There were determined the metastable zones with the overcoolings in the binary systems and their reduction in approaching to the eutectic composition was fixed. With the help of the thermoanalysis technique there were plotted the binary constitution diagrams resorcinol - hydroquinone, cathechol - hydroquinone and resorcinol - cathechol. There was brought out the autonomous character of the exothermal effects of the crystallization of the alloys as to the liquidus and us temperatures in the diphenyl - naphthalene, resorcinol - hydroquinone, cathechol - hydroquinone. There are suggested more correct expressions to calculate the critical size of real nuclei of crystals of the hydrocarbons and how they are formed regarding their crystallography and defects.
