The dissertation is devoted to the existence of сhivalric military technology on the territory of Kyiv Ruthenian and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in a broader background of Мedieval Western civilization from the early thirteenth century (when knight's combat practice in the Galician-Volhynian principality has become not only an important tactical factor in the struggle for hegemony in the Kievan Ruthenian Realm, but also the factor of identity and communication in existence of Ruthenian military elites),to the military reforms of King Stefan Batory in Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1577. Since knight's cavalry finally was transformed into Hussars. Special attention is paid to the knight's arms and armour and concepts and practice of it's usage. In thesis author had combined principal methods of historical research with methods of military history, military anthropology, history of arms and armour.
