Essay

The work offers a solution of urgent theoretical and practical problem of increase of wear resistance of GTE blades top shrouds contact faces. Co-TiC cemented carbides with combined micro- and macrohardening are developed. Influence of their structure on wear and heat resistance is established. Physical and chemical processes that develop on friction surfaces of developed alloys are investigated. It is proved that high wear resistance of Со-TiC cemented is achieved by generating of friction induced surface structure with positive gradient of mechanical properties and high strength of an alloy that resists to plastic deformations of sub layer
