The thesis is dedicated to researching the role of isoenzymes of catalase and peroxidases in plant stress responses Arabidopsis thaliana (wild-type and knock-out mutant) and Nicotiana tabacum for the actions of rising temperatures and concentrations of heavy metals, such as copper and cadmium. The data show that, depending on age of plants and kind of stress applied different mechanisms could be involved in compensation of the lack of CAT2 isoenzyme in Arabidopsis
