Essay

The research objective is the process of destruction and displacement of copper containing minerals by hydraulic mining method with further removal of sulphide copper from washout chamber. The dissertation goal is study of process's parameters of underground copper sulphide leaching by downhole hydraulic mining. In this work integrated approach was used, which included systematization and generalization of scientific method of underground leaching which was based on the method of hydraulic mining, physical modeling of hydrodynamic processes of copper containing minerals destruction, laboratory experiments of dissolution rate of copper sulphide, full-scale experiments, analytical evaluation of the results, a feasibility study. The scientific importance of the work was to establish patterns of underground leaching of copper sulphide in the washout chamber. The process was performed with both streams of water and sulphate acid , which enables to justify the rational technological extraction parameters in conditions of high acidity. The practical significance of this work was to develop recommendations of copper dissolution in the chamber. The dissolution was based on the underground leaching process with parallel process of hydraulic mining.
