Essay

The thesis reveals problems of monitoring of quality of power supplies for arc welding. The purpose of monitoring is to evaluate their welding characteristics and operating conditions by values of electrical parameters. Criteria for evaluation of static and dynamic characteristics of power supplies and for evaluation of their operation conditions were developed. Computer models for simulation of electrical processes in the “power supply – welding arc” system were developed for MMA and MIG/MAG welding methods. The system for evaluation of characteristics and operation conditions of power supplies based on artificial intelligence was developed.
