Agrobiological and economical characters of a number of grape varieties released by the Institute "Magarach" were studied for the first time under the conditions of Transcarpathia. The varieties 'Avrora', 'Pervenets Magaracha' and 'Antey magarachskiy' - were characterized as promising, and 'Spartanets Magaracha' - as sufficiently promising. It was established that the soil and climatic conditions of the Transcarpathian region were quite suitable for the agrobiological peculiarities of the new varieties. 'Antey magarachskiy' and 'Spartanets Magaracha' were characterized as having the highest level of frost resistance, thus being suitable for cultivating in the Transcarpathian region. The productivity of all study varieties was considerably superior to that of 'Cabernet Sauvignon' used as control. Positive effects of sand and humus mixture and zeolite on the growth, development and yield of rooted vines (by 14,4 % in relation to the sod-brown podzolized medium-loamy soil used as control) and of using three-eye cuttings of varieties entering the grapevine assortment of the Transcarpathian region as part of a complex of technologies to grow rooted vines were proved, and the findings will be recommended for commercial production. The technologies to grow new grape varieties and rooted vines under the conditions of Transcarpathia were evaluated from the economical standpoint.
