Essay

The thesis is devoted to investigation of general principles of formation of conducting polymers (CP) and their nanocomposites with vanadium oxide under conditions of the mechanochemical synthesis, explanation of the influence of mechanochemical preparation method, CP type and nanocomposite structure on their physicochemical properties, spectral and electrochemical characteristics. Possibility of mechanochemical preparation of the main types of CP - polyaniline, polypyrrole, polythiophene and polyparaphenylene - was shown. Two-component CP-V2O5 and ternary CP-polyethileneoxidfe (PEO)-V2O5 host-guest hybrid nanocomposites were first prepared mechanochemically. The nanocomposites - were capable for stable cycling even at high charge/discharge currents. It was shown by means of a complex of mutually complementary experimental methods that increase of electrochemical capacity, improvement of cycling ability (~200 mА*h/g during at least 100 charge/discharge) and acceleration of lithium ion diffusion for studied hybrid nanocomposites were caused not only by pillaring action of the intercalated polymers on the layers of the inorganic matrix, but also by mechanochemical preparation method that promotes formation of such structure of the individual nanoparticles of the hybrid materials, which prevent them from loss of integrity of the crystal lattice during charge/discharge.
