Essay

The object of the research is the process of relief surface image synthesis in computer graphics systems. The purpose of this work is to increase the productivity of relief surface image synthesis in computer graphics systems in the way of reducing the complexity of computing process and software and hardware realization. To research the defined purpose there were used the methods of analytical geometry, linear algebra, mathematical analysis; the theory of interpolation of functions; the automaton theory for the development of hardware components for computer graphics systems; computer simulation for analysis and validation of the theoretical propositions. Scientific novelty of the results is the development of new surface reflection model, new methods of accelerated computation of normalized vectors, perspective-correct texturing and relief simulation on graphical object surface images, which allow to improve the productivity of relief surface image synthesis. The practical significance of the results consists in developing of the structure charts of subsystems and devices for accelerated vector normalization, perspective-correct texturing and relief surface image synthesis; developing of software facilities for relief simulation on graphical object surface images and testing proposed methods to get comparative estimations; receiving of experimental data of usage of developed facilities as a part of professional graphical pipeline RenderMonkey. The level of the implementation is that the thesis results were implemented in companies "UkrAviaZakaz" (Kyiv), "Geosystema" (Vinnytsia), "Saturn Data International" (Kyiv), "Sitecore Ukraine" (Dnipropetrovsk) and in the education process of software department of the VNTU. The scope of implementation is the systems of formation and display of the graphic information.
