The work is devoted to the study of thermal processes low-reactive anthracite preparation for its pulverized combustion. A method for engineering calculation of composition of volatiles of Donetsk anthracite, the escape dynamics and heat contribution of volatile substances with a distributed activation energy at high-speed heating of coal dust. The required time for thermal chemical preparation (TCP) and plasma chemical preparation (PCP) were estimated. The experiments have shown the advantages of gas TCP for the reconstruction of the boilers with Ukrainian anthracite and proved the efficiency of pulverized anthracite combustion with TCP compared to the conventional combustion with "lightning". There have been designed boiler's burner with TCP for TPP-210A boiler unit with 300 MW capacity of Tripilska power plant using the results of studies. The tests have demonstrated the reliability of the burner and its compliance with design specifications.
