The dissertation deals with the study of psychological peculiarities of personal freedom formation in the student youth. It has been conducted the analysis of genesis of the concept of personal freedom in psychology. Confirmed the hypothesis concerning the fact that adolescent age as is an optimal period for personal freedom formation. The personality's value-significative sphere, students' individual qualities and types of interpersonal interaction, as well as intensification of necessity of self-actualization have empirically investigated.
