Chevela G. Problems of effectiveness increase of investment activity of regional insurance organizations and ways of their decision

The object of study: investment activities of Ukrainian insurance companies. The aim of study: scientific basis of theoretical and methodological principles and practical recommendations to improve insurance companies' investment activities in the region, which provide the effectiveness of the insurance system functioning and facilitate the national economy development. Methods of study: comparison and generalization; analysis and synthesis; statistical analysis; economic and graphical analysis; logical generalization of results. The practical significance of results lies in the development of specific and exact recommendations concerning the interaction of authorities, enterprises and insurance companies in the investing activity at the regional level. Scientific novelty of results lies in the fact that it was the first time when the model of interaction between local authorities and insurance companies in the field of insurance reserves investment into the priority sectors of the regional economy to improve the effectiveness of insurers' investment activities was proposed. Measures for the investment portfolio optimization in accordance with the capabilities of the available financial resources, and ways to improve the investment potential of insurance companies were upgraded. Opportunities and challenges of domestic insurance companies' activities as institutional investors in order to get some additional income, methodological positions of investment strategy planning and development and principles of Insurance Fund monetary means allocation have got the further development.
