The thesis is devoted to the study of biological, ecological, and morphological peculiarities of the genus Trapa L. in nature and under conditions of open-air and greenhouse cultivation in the O. V. Fomin Botanical Garden, NSC "Institute of Biology" of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. On the basis of integral research in the open field and greenhouse conditions, it is revealed that the genus Trapa in the flora of Ukraine is represented by four species and three varieties. Key to indentification of species and varieties of of Trapa in Ukrainian flora was compiled.
