Essay

The thesis is devoted to determination of basic technology of diffusion welding in vacuum of titanium aluminides through Ti/Al interlayers.To ensure a running of self-propagating high temperature synthesis reaction in nanolayered Ti/Al foils under the conditions of their compression in the butt, it is necessary to perform preheating to 600 C. In welding titanium aluminide with application of titanium interlayer, formation of common grains and absence of pores, oxide inclusion or cracks are observed in the joint zone. Application of the nanolayer in welding y-TiAl leads to an increase of diffusion mobility of atoms in the joint zone by two orders of magnitude.
