Prokopenko V. Geopolitical image of the state as a factor of young students' civil identity

The thesis covers the peculiarities of geopolitical perception influence on civil identity of present-day students, and the role of geopolitical image of the state in this identity. The paper presents theoretical grounding and empirical investigation referred to the features of civil identity formation of young students. The author reveals the influence of the attitude and the extent of formation of social perception of own state, and the level of personal identification with the state. Age-specific differences of present-day youth, denoted in the thesis research, witness that the formation of civil self-consciousness of students flows ambiguously by content and quality, and the influence factor of geopolitical image of the state depends on the extent of formation of geopolitical and social perception.
