Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the development the microstructure fiber drawing automated process control new approach by developing a new method of technological parameters monitoring. The approach allows to improve the quality of microstructure optical fiber drawing process control and construct process control system based on the microstructure fiber cross section and geometric parameters limits. The optical non-destructive monitoring method for the microstructure fiber cross section changes analysis in drawing process is proved in this work. The method for shaping parameters estimation is developed. The method is based on the analysis of correlation coefficients ofdynamic changes and integral parameters of the cross section optical intensity in the local areas. The mathematical expressions connecting the proposed integral parameter with controlling technological parameter are obtained. Effectiveness of proposed methods was confirmed experimentally by computer and hardware emulation of process monitoring.
