Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of the problem of conservation of 15 rare species of woody plants on basis of the study of their biological and ecology-cenotic features in quasinatural ecosystems of Right-bank Forest-steppe (on example of dendropark "Olexandria"). The rhythms of seasonal growth and development, dynamics of shoot growth, blossoming and fruiting peculiarities are studied, evaluation of introduction success is estimated, and question of plant growth and development correlation under the conditions of different light intensity of the transformed dendropark phytocenosis is covered. It is established that the seasonal development of majority of introduced rare species of woody plants coincides with the vegetative period of the Right-bank Forest-steppe and ensures appropriate implementation of the cycle of their development. The peculiarities of seed and vegetative propagation are studied, effective methods of reproduction are proposed. The growth and development rates of seedlings and nurslings of the investigated species are analyzed.
