The object of study: processes of innovative activities in the region. The aim of study: justification of the necessity to form and create the organizational and motivational mechanisms of innovative development in the region. Methods of study: epistemological; functional and structural methods; systematic and analytical methods; methods of induction and deduction The practical significance of results lays in the development of organizational and motivational mechanisms of innovative development in the region. Scientific novelty of results lies in fact that it was the first time when approaches referring to the process of organizational and motivational mechanisms at local and regional levels formation, which further will be used to enhance the innovative development in the region, were grounded and substantiated. Were implemented: the interpretation of concept of "organizational and motivational mechanisms of innovative development in the region"; the set of instruments which contribute the intensification of innovative development in the region; ways and methods of commercialization of innovative activities in the region. Further developments have got: principles of management over the innovative development in the region; factors the not taken of which into account can eliminate the innovative development in the region; the European model of regional innovation policy, which was adapted to Ukrainian realities.
